Sarat graduated magna cum laude from Lehigh University in 1992 where he was a Martindale Scholar, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics. After working at Coopers & Lybrand as a certified public accountant, Sarat attended Harvard Business School where he earned a Master’s in business administration. Sarat worked for JP Morgan in the Mergers & Acquisition/Corporate Finance area focusing on domestic and cross-border transactions until joining DCLA® in 1999. Sarat serves on Lehigh University's Executive Board of Trustees, is the President of the Martindale Society and is Chair of the University's Endowment Investment Committee. He was also President of the Lehigh University Alumni Association. Sarat serves on the Children's Hope Advisory Board, a New York-based non-profit organization that aids numerous children's programs in India and the United States. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation, is a Chartered Investment Counselor and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts. Sarat is also a member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO). He appears regularly on CNBC as an on-air contributor providing market commentary and equity analysis. Sarat has been recognized by Barron's magazine as one of the top 100 independent advisors in the nation.1 He became a partner of the firm in 2001, a Managing Director in 2013 and a Managing Partner in 2016.
Mr. Hurley is the current President of Winged Foot Golf Club and acting representative of the Winged Foot Golf Club Board.
Kathleen was born and raised in Larchmont NY. Irish & her husband Paul raised their two sons in Larchmont until their move to Connecticut a couple of years ago. The Benson’s have been members of Winged Foot since 2004. Graduating in 1986 from The College of New Rochelle, Irish immediately began her career in food service where she managed a restaurant for a private group of investors. During this time Irish also co-founded a successful catering business and earned her residential NY State real estate license. In 1996, Irish left the business world to start a family. In addition to raising the family, Irish followed her passion of giving back to her community and volunteering for causes close to her heart. In 2003, Irish’s childhood friend, Claire Gormley Collier was diagnosed with ALS. Upon this diagnosis, Irish cofounded and designed the logo for The Friends of Claire Foundation. The Friends of Claire Foundation raised funds to provide Claire with the greatest care possible and unparalleled support for Claire & her family during her courageous battle against ALS. Other community and charitable organizations work included being an active committee member at both of her son’s schools and religious education programs, a 3 yr Co-Chair of The Mary Jane Ridder Luncheon for Catholic Guardians, 3-year chair of WF’s Play for PINK and Chairperson for St. Augustine’s Parish Annual Toy Drive.
Gene is married to Mary Elizabeth (Lynch) Westmoreland. Their children are Eileen and Christopher. He attended Harrison High School, Westchester Community College and Pace University before serving in the US Air Force Reserve from 1965 to 1971. Gene has worked as President of Gene Westmoreland Golf Services, Pace University Head Basketball Coach and Head Baseball Coach, Athletic Director of Pleasantville (NY) Campus and with the Metropolitan Golf Association (MGA) from 1980-2009 as Associate Executive Director and Senior Director of Rules & Competition. He has been a golf industry consultant since 2009. Gene also wrote “A Game For Life - Golf's Rules & Rewards”, as well as for The Met Golfer, Suburban Golfer, and Senior Golfer Magazine. He has been a member of Winged Foot since 1983, Senior member since 2019.
Jeff joined the investment manager team of Tetragon as a principal upon its formation in May 2005. He retired from Tetragon in September of 2018. Herlyn was previously a managing director and co-head (with Michael Rosenberg) of the Global CDO Group at UBS AG, responsible for a group focused on structuring, originating, and distributing CDOs in addition to managing the secondary CDO trading desk. Prior to joining UBS, he was a managing director at JPMorgan and a co-head (also with Michael Rosenberg) of the firm’s North American CDO Group. Previously, Mr. Herlyn was a managing director at CIBC World Markets where he held various positions within the North American Capital Markets Group, including National Sales Manager and head of the U.S. Government Primary Dealer Trading Desk. He also served on the firm’s benefits and compliance committees. Prior to joining CIBC, Mr. Herlyn was a Fixed Income salesperson at Chase Securities and Manufacturers Hanover Securities Corp. Before joining the Manufacturers Fixed Income Sales Group, he was a Corporate Lending Officer for Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co. responsible for Large and Middle Market Lending. Mr. Herlyn holds a B.A. degree from St. Lawrence University and an M.B.A. degree from Fordham University. He is based in the New York/Connecticut area with his wife Kristine, two children: Meaghan age 24 who lives and works in Texas, and Drew age 19 who is a sophomore in college.
